Glan y Mor Gallery is a studio/gallery  situated in the centre of Fishguard, selling affordable Welsh art and crafts by local artists and craftspeople. It is run by me, Beth Robinson. Some of the downstairs area in the gallery has been converted to a small studio space where I paint, and I also display work by a small group of other artists, including Sheila Craft, Evan Jon, Peter Harries, Royston Hopson, Graham H.Hadlow, Dorian Spencer Davies, Sarah Young, Ronda Thomas, and Margaret Jones.
There are browsers with limited edition prints and reproductions by Sheila Craft, Graham Brace, Colin Morse, Jim McBrearty, Dorian Spencer Davies and myself; also photographs by Chris Tancock and Patricia Watkins, various types of prints byAlison Read and some etchings by David Beattie.
There are some porcelain pieces by Andrea Linzer; Rosemarie Barr and Neil Richardson continue to display their smaller pieces, and there is a wide range of soaps by You're Gorgeous.
Jewellery is by Wireworks, and is made from Sterling silver and interesting beads (foiled glass, freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones and so on).

Although the gallery space is quite limited I try to show a variety of styles of work here, with original paintings from £25 to £1,500 and a large range of limited edition prints. These prints start very cheaply at £10 for laser prints, then go up in gradually in price for giclee and lithographic prints. North Pembrokeshire landscapes and seascapes are strongly featured, but the gallery has  some still life, nudes and abstracts.
Because of shortage of space, not all the work shown on this website is on display in the gallery, so if you are making a special journey to see a particular painting, please telephone so that I can be sure it is here for you. Conversely, there are quite a few paintings on display which are not illustrated on this website!

In-house framing service:
The gallery operates a framing service (Yellowhill Framing), run by my husband Alan. I have frame samples at the gallery and can discuss your requirements with you. Because Alan does not have his workshop at the gallery, we can't offer an 'on the spot' service, but he'll get your frames made within a week in most cases - he'll also be able to do the occasional frame overnight if it's possible.
GIFT VOUCHERS:

YOU CAN BUY ORIEL GLAN Y MOR GALLERY OR YELLOWHILL FRAMING GIFT VOUCHERS. PLEASE CONTACT ME STATING YOUR REQUIREMENTS. (These can only be redeemed through Oriel Glan y Mor)
THE GALLERY OPERATES AN INSTALMENT PAYMENT SCHEME - PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR DETAILS.

A brief history of Glan y Mor

In 1999, Margaret Jones decided to convert the ground floor of her large house in the coastal village of Trefin into a tearoom and art gallery and invited Beth Robinson to run it with her.
Glan y Mor soon became the hub of village life and both of us, although enjoying ourselves immensely,  found that we had less and less time for painting. The tearoom not only catered for a busy tourist trade but also for  villagers demanding three course evening meals and events. Art and craft workshops were held at Glan y Mor as well as cookery demonstrations and harp recitals; money was raised for many local charities through coffee mornings - and afternoons! Glan y Mor with sheep Margaret Jones
Finally, both of us realised that we would have even less time to devote to our own paintings if we continued to run a tearoom, so the descision was made to hang up our aprons and run an art gallery with no catering side to the business, and so we relocated to Fishguard in March 2002. The move  meant that both  of us were able to devote more time and energy to our  painting, and even manage to to some work in the gallery.
Margaret left  in April 2007 to live and paint (wearing a rather fetching sunhat) in Portugal, and I continue to run the gallery. Some of the  downstairs area has been converted to a studio space where I can work on my paintings.
In the meantime, Trefin has not lost out, for Oriel y Felin has replaced Glan y Mor and is run by our friends  Angela Samuel - a superb cook, and Pauline Beynon, a very talented artist. Oriel y Felin has won many accolades for its food, and has won a Les Routiers award.
