Although he has lived and worked in Pembrokeshire
for nearly forty years, John Knapp-Fisher was born in London in 1931. After
studying graphic design and typography at Maidstone College of Art, he
began his career in exhibition design and theatre design and was involved
with scene construction and painting until 1960.
For five years he lived and exhibited from
his sea-going fishing boat, exploring the rivers and estuaries of the South
and East coasts of England. John Knapp-Fisher was elected a member of the
Royal Cambrian Academy 1992.
John continues to exhibit his work in England,
Wales, Europe, Africa and North America, and his work is held in many private
collections worldwide.
