Buddy
Collie Robinson was born in Brynberian in 1997. He spent his first
few years in the coastal village of Trefin, in North Pembrokeshire, where
he became well known for his efforts at the billiard table and his barking.
He
is the father of two pups, Callie the Collie and Van the Dog, who still live
in Trefin. He moved with his owners, artist Beth Robinson and picture framer
Alan Robinson back to the area of his birth a few years ago.
He
is sadly exploited by Oriel Glan y Mor Gallery, who have used his image extensively
on greetings cards, paintings, magnets, keyrings and even mouse mats, alongside
that of his constant companion, Molly Collie.
Buddy's
main hobbies are:
Barking;
howling along when owner Beth is singing (he is especially partial
to Wagner and can recognise his favourite composer after only a couple of
bars of music); barking; watching Mastermind and University Challenge (in
fact, he watches his heroes John Humphrys and Jeremy Paxman whenever
he gets the chance. He also rather likes Anne Robinson, but we try not to
encourage him in that); and, of course, barking.
Distinguishing
features:
very
hairy, one blue eye and one brown eye, barks a lot.
|
His
companion, Molly Collie is a lot quieter (though she has a fine contralto
voice) and likes to help with herding the cows. She also was born in Brynberian
and has lived there for all of her life.
She
loves children and posing for photographs and portraits.
Main
hobbies:
Swimming,
collecting sticks. She has an extensive collection of sticks which she kindly
allows her owners to throw for her. She is a keen correspondent, though
she finds that her paws tend to slip on the computer keyboard when
she is sending emails to her fans. She hopes at some point to publish a collection
of her letters, the probable title of which will be, 'The Kronickells of
Moli Coli'.
